Chris is a founding member and continues to perform with this Canadian roots-rock sextet, (then for a while quintet), now once again sextet.
Since 1993, Chris has toured the USA, Europe and New Zealand – not to mention driven across Canada about a million times in support of the group’s six full length albums. Once referred to as, “Captain Beer”, likely (and perhaps not wholly respectfully) to describe their brand of party rock which infected audiences wherever they played and sometimes pushed clubs and concert halls right to the brink of disaster, leaving spectators worn out, chewing-on-the-drywall…but extremely happy.
From their humble beginnings in pubs along Edmonton’s famed Whyte Avenue (where they were seriously more happy to play for beer than money), to the creation of one of Canada’s best-loved party records of the 1990′s, EAST OF EDSON, through the endless miles of touring and recording and touring and recording, Captain Tractor is now enjoying a comfortable new role as one of the “grandaddy” bands of Western Canada. At seventeen years old (in band years that’s over a hundred) somehow the band managed to release their seventh recorded effort, FAMOUS LAST WORDS, which came out in May of 2011.
